We are grateful for a fabulous team!

John Touchberry

Chairman of the Board

John is an accomplished business executive with over 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing, and more than that in ministry.  John is currently a Regional Manager for Eiki International Inc., a technology company. He also serves as a lay pastor at Christ Fellowship Church.  Before joining The Family Greenhouse Board he was instrumental in helping to start the marriage ministry that birthed this non-profit.  He is married with 4 children, 2 of whom are married.  He and his wife have been married 29 years and have been involved in varied ministries together at church and para-church organizations.

John is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board, and his leadership has been integral to the ministry taking leaps forward. John says he counts it a blessing to help lead Family Greenhouse into success and growth, helping others to better their communication skills and deepen their relationships!

Jason Duke

Board Member

Jason and his beautiful wife, Michelle, married in 2003 and God has blessed them with 4 great kids: Caden, Tucker, Grayson, and Blessing (whom they adopted in 2014).  In addition to raising their children, God has allowed them to serve as foster parents the past few years and experience the joy of planting Kingdom seeds in the lives of kids.  Jason is the Pastor of Connections and Development at Milestone Church in McKinney, Tx and previously served as the Lead Pastor of Ranchland Church that he and Michelle helped plant in 2010.  In his free time, Jason enjoys volunteering as the soccer coach at Scott Johnson Middle School, taking his boys hunting, investing in other men, or simply hanging out with family and friends.

Judy Casey

Board Member

Judy is truly a “jack of all trades” as she has had many different job experiences ranging from children’s director at a church in NC, International Marketing Manager for Hanes Hosiery, a public-school teacher, and stock broker at AG Edwards. Judy has served on many non-profit boards, but this board is a full-on working board, so there have been many opportunities to use the God’s gifts while serving!  Judy has been integral to the creation of hospitality, adding a warm look and feel to Family Greenhouse events. She has coordinated with volunteers and developed our fundraising event team.

Past experiences have led her to have a heart for marriage and couples who want to have a marriage that has God as the center, and is rich in love and care for each partner.  Watching Family Greenhouse care for the uniqueness of each person in a marriage and working to help the relationship grow into a healthy union that allows a family to bloom and become exactly what God has planned, is a privilege and a joy.

Deena Peppers

After years of being a stay-at-home mom, Deena recently joined her husband in entrepreneurship of a State Farm agency. Before that, Deena served as an elementary school teacher and as a trainer for State Farm for 5 years. She and her husband Gary have two sons, both in college right now. Deena’s passions are for family, marriage, and most notably the Word of God, and she has been influential in Abigail’s life as a prayer and accountability partner.  Deena currently serves as note-taker in our meetings and leads and serves in varied areas of the ministry.

Scott Doust

As a husband of 20 years and dad of 4 girls, Scott loves making his family a priority. But marriage and parenting are hard, and it is through some of the hardships that he became passionate to create The Family Greenhouse. Scott’s past experiences include 14 years at Alliance Data Systems (ADS) as an IT manager and leading a national technical department. Just 18 months after moving from Ohio to Texas with ADS, he felt a calling from God to go to seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS). Scott worked at Christ Fellowship and worked diligently on a Masters of Theology, completing his degree in 2011. As God unfolded the plans for coaching relationships, he went back to school to become a Certified Professional Life Coach.

Scott currently serves as the Executive Director of Family Greenhouse, and he casts vision, leads the staff, networks in the community and trains and coaches others. In his free time, he can be found cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, cuddling with his two cats, or grilling something yummy on the grill.

Abigail Doust

Abigail co-founded Family Greenhouse with her husband Scott and together they lead the organization and raise their 4 girls. Abigail’s first career was teaching and directing theater, which led her to get her Masters in Theater in Directing. She led the Studio Arts Ministry at Christ Fellowship for 3 years, and has counseled and pastored women and couples for years. As Family Greenhouse started, she completed training to become a Certified Professional Life Coach. Abigail currently coaches, trains those who want to coach, leads the team, and manages day-to-day tasks and projects.

Abigail home schools her kids and is active in co-ops and MArCH Enrichment homeschool organization. In her free time she is likely to drum up more projects to do, even if it is baking with her girls or a making a creative photo album.
